Historia - Fiestas - Playas - La ciudad

Monasterio de Sant Feliu de Guíxols:

Construido en el año 968, ha ido experimentando reformas y nuevas construcciones. Destacamos 5 partes del monasterio:

Porta Ferrada: Se cree que era la entrada de un palacio carolingio.

Torre de Fum, del siglo X-XII.

Iglesia gótica, del siglo XIV-XV.

Sacristía, del siglo XVI-XVII.

Arc de Sant Benet, del siglo XVIII.

Ermita de Sant Elm:

Construida en 1723, ofrece una de las mejores vistas de la costa. Se dice que en este sitio surgió el nombre de "Costa Brava", actual nombre de esta costa.

Pedralta:

Es una de las piedras basculantes más grandes de Europa. En este rincón se puede encontrar un magnífico mirador desde donde se pueden ver los pueblos próximos a Sant Feliu.

El paseo marítimo:

Paseo de arena que va de punta a punta de Sant Feliu, siguiendo la playa. Es donde se celebran audiciones de Sardanas, acontecimientos deportivos y sociales. Allí se pueden encontrar restaurantes emblemáticos de la ciudad y el maravilloso Casino de la Constancia.

Casino la Constancia:

Construido en 1888 siguiendo el estilo modernista. A pesar de la variedad de ofertas de ocio de la ciudad, la gente sigue yendo al casino para jugar a la "botifarra", un juego de cartas muy popular en Cataluña.

Reloj de sol de la casa Patxot:

Único testimonio de las casas señoriales que se construyeron en el paseo sobre el antiguo poblado medieval. Actualmente es la Cámara de Comercio, Industria y Navegación.

Casas señoriales:

Aunque en el paseo marítimo solo queda casa Patxot, aún se conservan varias casas señoriales repartidas por la ciudad. Las más famosas son: casa Albertí (finales del siglo XIX), casa de la Campana (1911), casa Gaziel (1880), casa Girbau (1910), casa Maynegre (1898), casa Maruny (1909), casa Pecher (1894), casa Ribot (1904), casa Sala (1904) o casa Sibils (1892).

El Ayuntamiento:

Construido en 1547, fue ampliado con una torre en 1847. Con el paso del tiempo se ha ido modernizando para cubrir las necesidades actuales.

La antigua estación de tren:

Actualmente convertida en colegio público, esta estación unía Sant Feliu de Guíxols con Girona, pasando por la Vall d'Aro. Fue construida entre 1889 y 1892. En 1969 la línea fue clausurada debido a su poca utilidad y a la utilización de otros transportes, como los autobuses.

Casa Irla:

Casa donde residió el antiguo Presidente de la Generalitat, Josep Irla. Actualmente la casa está reformada y aloja varios actos como conferencias y conciertos. Próximamente se abrirá el museo Josep Irla.
